About Crestmount

Brokers first.
Bankers second.
On your side, always.

Crestmount Finance Ltd was built on a simple idea: UK businesses deserve a broker who works for them, not for a lender's balance sheet. Since 2014 we've arranged funding across a whole-of-market panel, guided by one relationship manager from first enquiry to drawdown.

Our story

Started by brokers who were tired of watching good businesses get bad advice.

Crestmount was founded by a small team of commercial finance brokers who had spent years inside high-street banks, watching straightforward businesses get turned away over policy technicalities rather than genuine risk.

We started with a single desk and a handful of lender relationships, arranging asset finance for trades businesses across the South East. The brief never changed: understand the business first, then find the structure that fits it not the other way around.

Today our panel has grown to more than 60 lenders spanning high-street banks, challenger banks and specialist funds, but the model is the same one we started with. One relationship manager owns your case from enquiry to drawdown, and we're paid to find you the right fit, not to place volume with any single lender.

What we stand for

Three commitments that don't change, whatever the market's doing.

Our advice has to hold up under scrutiny from clients, from lenders, and from our regulator.

Independent by design

We hold no equity stake in any lender and receive no preferential incentive to place business with one over another. Every recommendation is led by fit for your business, not by which relationship is easiest for us.

Plain English, always

Commercial finance terms are complicated enough without jargon on top. We set out rates, fees and trade-offs in language a busy founder can read once and understand.

Accountable to one person

Your relationship manager is named, reachable, and responsible for your case end to end. If something goes wrong, you're never told to "raise a ticket" you call the person who already knows your business.

Finance solutions

Funding built around how your business actually operates.

We look across secured and unsecured products to find the structure that fits your cash flow, assets and timeline not the other way around.

How it works

From enquiry to funds, in four steps.

One relationship manager guides your application through the whole process you're never passed between departments.

Relationship manager talking through options with colleagues

Every case is handled by a named relationship manager who stays with you from the first phone call through to funds landing in your account. We ask about your business before we ask about the numbers the shortlist of lenders only gets built once we understand what you're actually trying to do.

1

Tell us your goals

A short call or online form covering what you need to fund, timeline and current trading position.

2

We match your panel

Your relationship manager shortlists lenders from our panel of 60+ who fit your sector and structure.

3

Compare tailored offers

We present indicative terms side by side in plain English, with the trade-offs of each clearly set out.

4

Funds released

Once terms are accepted, our team manages drawdown so funds land where and when your business needs them.

Financial Advisor
We started Crestmount because too many good businesses were being told "no" by a single underwriter, when the right lender for them existed somewhere else on the market. Eleven years on, that's still the entire job.

A few of the businesses we've arranged funding for, in their own words.

"Crestmount found us a bridging facility in nine days when our own bank quoted six weeks. That timeline was the difference between losing the site and completing on it."

"We needed six new vans on the road before a contract start date with almost no notice. Our relationship manager had indicative terms back to us in two days and never once made us feel like a small account."
